Lessons Overview

Capen Music Academy offers electric guitar lessons in Kuala Lumpur to adults and youths. Lessons are structured to work with the Rockschool UK syllabus and are custom-tailored according to your progress.

What you learn

As a beginner, you will be introduced to chords, lead tablatures, strumming patterns, and basic music knowledge. Intermediate and advanced students will focus on more technical skills like scales, runs, and dynamics while learning to rock out to your favourite music.

Electric guitar lessons at Capen Music Academy are structured to provide a comprehensive music education to make you not only a better guitarist but a better musician. Our electric guitar lessons include basic theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and history.

How we teach

You will be learning the electric guitar using personalised lesson plans according to your progress as classes are conducted on a one-to-one basis. Our teacher’s goal is to plan engaging lessons that help you to play your favourite music as soon as possible.

As you progress, you will play along to your favourite music from different modern genres such as rock, metal, blues and jazz. You can choose between a 30-minute or 60-minute session weekly depending on how quickly you want to progress.

Qualifications

We highly recommend students to obtain a qualification as a benchmark of your progress. We design our electric guitar lessons to prepare you for international examinations by Rockschool UK. Well, that’s only if you want to.

Who can join

Our electric guitar lessons are open to kids above the age of 10 as well as adults.
